Bethel Elders and Board Members - Best Practices
Being able to lead or teach is a privilege and responsibility. Those in these positions are naturally looked up to, not with an unhealthy expectation of perfection, but with elevated expectations nonetheless. It is clear from Scripture that leaders and teachers need to be lovingly held accountable to protect the church and the individual. Therefore, we ask all those who lead or teach to agree with the following:
I am a follower of Jesus
I have been attending and active at Bethel Church for at least 6 months.
I agree and aspire to live by Bethel’s Leadership and Guiding Principles
I agree and aspire to live by the UB Confession of Faith and Standards (UB Discipline, Parts 1 & 2).
I have taken Exploring Bethel and am a member of Bethel.
